Ireland bike trip-September 2001

Our bike trip to Ireland was really terrific. We went with the Epsteins and the Kasners and then joined up with 9 other bikers and 2 guides all of whom turned out to be great biking companions. The weather on our first biking day was just awful, 50 MPH gale force winds with driving rain, but after that, other than some windy days, the weather was great. The biking was a little more vigorous than our previous trips but all of us were in pretty good shape so it worked out fine.

As usual we all became good friends and also as usual Butterfield and Robinson did a great job of choreographing the entire trip, hotels, meals, picnics, etc..  Our return flight to Aspen was typically all screwed up and we got home  a day later than we were supposed to, but no big deal. A wonderful trip and below you can see some of the pictures from the trip (as usual click to make them bigger and download any that you want).
